Fashion Movies to watch while you’re staying home
The last couple of weeks the world is going through a rough time and it is really sad to read and hear about it. I really hope you’re all feeling good and staying home!
Now on the other hand I know staying at home can be quite boring and after an while you just don’t know what to do with yourself. Movies are a great way to entertain yourself from the comfort of your home.
So, I made a list with some of my favorite fashion movies you should watch (or re-watch) while you’re staying at home.
The Devil Wears Prada
Meryl Streep as the demanding editor of a fashion magazine hires Anne Hathaway, a young aspiring journalist who doesn’t know anything about fashion as her personal assistant. If you haven’t watched The Devil wears Prada yet just stop reading and go watch it now! If you have watched it you can always watch it again because let’s be honest it’s that good.
Coco Avant Chanel
The story of the woman who rose above all else in the fashion industry. We watch how she brought a revolution to the fashion industry and gave woman their freedom. An amazing biopic that sheds light to the life of a fashion legend.

Yves Saint Laurent
Another biopic about the young genius named Yves Saint Laurent and how he became one of the most prominent designers in the world and how his vision changed the fashion scene. We also see a lot of his personal life. His partner Pierre Berge said that “Gabrielle Chanel gave women freedom, Yves Saint Laurent gave them freedom”.
Funny face
A 1957 musical about how a shy bookshop assistant becomes a model and falls in love with a famous photographer with the city of Light as background. Audrey Hepburn in Paris in the 50s! I have to be honest and say that it’s the only movie from this list I haven’t watched yet but it’s next on my list. You probably won’t find any movie as classy as this one.
Confessions of a Shopaholic
A 2009 comedy about a woman with a shopping addiction. It’s kind of sweet and funny but to be honest if you start seeing yourself in the main character maybe you should reconsider your shopping choices…just saying!
Sex and the City
Sarah Jessica Parker as the iconic Carrie Bradshaw and her group of friends giving us unrealistic expectations about life in New York City but doing it in the most stylish way ever. If you are a true fashion lover you have already watched both movies but like The Devil wears Prada you can never get tired of a good classic fashion movie.
Well. I would love to know the bio of Saint laurent. Thanks for your tip.
I love the Confessions of a Shopolic. The book was good too!
I loved the movie too but haven’t read the book! Maybe I should read it now that I have a lot of free time!
