Winter Sales 2020 are Here
January is here which means one thing: Winter Sales. It’s the season we are all waiting for and dread at the same time. The excitement runs high and most of the time that leads to some (or many) unnecessary purchases. Now, we don’t want that!
Let’s be honest, all of us have regretted buying at least on item we found on sale and we thought it was a great bargain but ended up never wearing it. Sales are great in order to find amazing pieces at a reduced price but at the same time we can end up with a bunch of clothes and accessories we’re never going to use but bought at discount or a lot of trendy pieces that will be out of fashion the next year.
In order to avoid the above situation we need to be practical and we shouldn’t get carried away! I know it’s hard but you’re going to thank me later!
Sales are the perfect opportunity to invest in some classic pieces. They never get out of style and if you are willing to spend a little more than usual they are going to last for many years.
I want to keep things simple and that is why I will only include the basic. I have chosen three pieces that are worth the splurge and we should all have in our closet. Coats, bags and shoes are the three main categories we should focus on during the winter sales.

1. Coat
A nice coat is essential for every wardrobe during the winter months. It keeps you warm and gives you style at the same time.
A coat in a classic color like black or camel is a must. If you don’t have one of those you should definitely invest in one during the sales. Make sure it’s warm and fits you nicely.

Now if you already have a classic coat and want to spice things up you can always go for a statement piece. That’s what I did! I already own a coat in camel I got from Mango last year and I really wanted something special. I went for a long coat in plaid with red and neon yellow details from Asos. Well, I wasn’t sure myself when I first ordered it, I was even ready to send it back if it was too much for me, but I saw it as a nice styling challenge so I did keep it and I have already incorporated into my everyday outfits! That’s what I call a successful buy!
2. Shoes
Good, quality shoes are super important. Every pair of shoes should fit you perfectly and should be as comfortable as possible. Well, of course it depends on the shoes but the better it fits the better your feet will feel.
When we’re talking about high heels comfort is not the first thing that comes to mind by default that’s why the structure is important. A well-made pair of shoes will last for a long time as long as you make sure to treat it with love.

Now is a good time to invest in a designer pair of shoes, just make sure it is a classic design and color that will always be in fashion. A pair of black or nude pumps is a good investment as well as classic sneakers for a more casual look.
3. Bags
Most women love bags and have many of them. We use them all the time and we need one for every outfit (ok almost every outfit). If you agree, this is your time!
Just like shoes, a nice bag can make or break you outfit. It doesn’t have to be an expensive one just make sure it is good quality and if it is a pre-owned one make sure it is in perfect condition.

If you want to invest in a good one, go for a classic style in black or nude. You can pair them with pretty much every color. Also, a nice black, leather tote is great piece to start with.
For now, these are the three basic things I would suggest to invest in during the winter sales. Of course, that doesn’t mean you should go for other pieces you may have been eyeing for a while just make sure it’s worth the price tag.
Perfect timing I need to go shopping! Lol thanks for sharing
